what if ur trying not to get pregent till ur ready and not on bc but as it is both of the partners want to um not use condoms so much? would keeping track of the cycle really work? in not gettin pregnet? like if theres others ways of not gettin pregent sides stuff normaly used
it only takes one time of having unprotected sex to get pregnant...i'm a prime example of that...the first time i ever had sex it was unprotected and i ended up pregnant at only 17 years old...i should have listened to my mom
You HAVE to learn your body!!!! Women should know their cycles....keep track of your period and the duration each month. Once you track your period you should be able to pinpoint when your most fertile days are and know NOT have sex during that time. Whether you have physical symptoms of ovulation or not, your body let's you know what's going on. During ovulation, some women get a sharp pain either on the right or left side where their ovaries are. Others don't but EVERY women gets a large amount of clear, odorless, sticky discharge that looks like egg whites during their most fertile days. Knowing your body and tracking your period will NOT prevent pregnancy, but it sure will give you an understanding of when you should be more careful. Anything man made can fail, including condoms and BC pills so the best advice is to ABSTAIN totally if you do not want to risk having an unwanted pregnancy.
Wonderful information laurenashley1212, but let's not forget to inform women and men that you can conceive if you have sex prior to the woman's ovulation cycle. Because spem can last up to 4 days. so please, anyone not wanting children, take that into account....no sex or use protection (both partners) if you do no want a child 4 days before ovulation and during ovulation. And even then---oops. although I do not consider children an oops... So do not be selfish by having unprotected sex if you are not ready for the pitter patter of little feet....
My question is "why don't both partners NOT want to use a condom"? Are your married? Even if you are and plans to have a baby is not in the picture right now, as responsible consenting adults (I hope) would know they have to administer some form of precaution otherwise you WILL end up having a surprise some day soon. Also, like scarlett66 mentioned, sperm can live for a few days, my research say 3 days, but I guess it depends on where you get your information from. Good Luck, please consider precautionary measures, it's not a game.
