Irregular periods after a miscarriage are normal.
A woman’s body following a miscarriage has experienced a major trauma, so it’s perfectly acceptable for the body to take some time to get back to normal. By irregular periods, it means heavier or lighter than average periods or skipped periods.
It is okay to give babies small amount of cough or cold medicine if they aren’t feeling well.
No children under 2 years of age should be given cold medications. These medications can be life threatening for children who are too young to take them. Other at home methods, such as saline sprays, nasal suctioning, or ibuprofen can help relieve symptoms.
No matter what age the woman is, fertility may come into question if the couple has been trying to get pregnant with frequent, unprotected sex for at least one year without success.
For older women aged 35, infertility may come into question after 6 months
Sperm may survive for up to a week in the fallopian tubes.
Because sperm can survive in the fallopian tubes for up to a week, you don't have to time sex to the exact moment you ovulate to get pregnant.
The quality of a woman’s eggs can affect fertility.
Eggs that become damaged or develop chromosomal abnormalities cannot sustain a pregnancy.
An intrauterine device (IUD) may be used as emergency contraception.
IUD is used by some women for regular birth control, but you can also have a doctor or other trained clinician insert it up to five days after sex to prevent pregnancy. As emergency contraception, the Copper-T IUD is much more effective than either type of emergency contraceptive pill (or “morning after pill”).
