A one year old should be able to pull themselves into a standing position, or when supported by someone else.
A one year olds leg muscles should have developed enough for them to stand on them, with help for balance. Their legs should be able to support their weight. A one year old may be able to take steps between pieces of furniture, holding on to them for support, stand along without help for a short time, or take several small steps on their own.
Your newborn baby is more susceptible to germs then older babies, children, or adults.
Newborn babies have not had the chance to develop an advanced immune system yet. Germs from the air, such as the ones that are expelled from sneezing or coughing, direct contact, such as germs on someone’s hands, or contaminated surfaces, like public changing tables, may all be potentially dangerous to newborns.
A flat spot on the back or side of your newborn’s head is normal and can be ignored.
Babies are born with soft heads, allowing them room for their brains to grow. If a baby lays or sleeps in one position too often, that portion of his or her head may become flat, called “flat head syndrome”. If babies are laying down most of the day, this syndrome is more likely. To avoid flat head syndrome, hold your baby for periods of time during the day, either in your arms or in a baby carrier, change their sleeping position regularly, and practice appropriate amounts of “tummy time”.
Women over 35 years may be considered to have fertility problems after only 6 months of frequent, unprotected sex without success.
For older women aged 35, infertility may come into question after 6 months
An increase in amount of cervical mucus is correlated with an increase in fertility leading to ovulation.
Changes in your cervical mucus can signal when you are fertile. After your period has finished, your cervical mucus gradually increases in amount and changes in texture. This change reflects the rising levels of the hormone oestrogen in your body. It also shows you are close to ovulating.
Which types of hormones affect female fertility?
Ovulatory disorders are the most common cause of infertility in women. For you to successfully produce an egg each month requires a complex interaction between hormones produced by your brain and your ovaries.
