Seafood in moderation is fine, but there are certain kinds of fish that should be avoided during pregnancy. Mackerel, swordfish and shark are very rich in mercury, an element that should only be taken in very small amounts while pregnant, as it has been linked to birth defects.

A one year olds leg muscles should have developed enough for them to stand on them, with help for balance. Their legs should be able to support their weight. A one year old may be able to take steps between pieces of furniture, holding on to them for support, stand along without help for a short time, or take several small steps on their own.
